LIRFC U19's Boys Team
The Long Island Colts are the under 19 youth development team of the LIRFC and openly invites high school players of all ages and skill levels from New York and Long Island.
Full contact rugby is a tough physical game that offers competition, fun, friendship, and playing time. In addition, rugby promotes fitness, self-esteem, pride, goal setting, strategic thinking, teamwork and leadership skills both on and off the field.
Currently high school rugby is a spring sport. Preseason practices begin in early February at Glen Head, located approximately 45 minutes from NYC or 30 minutes from the Suffolk/Nassau border. New York Metropolitan high school matches are played on Saturday's or Sunday's throughout the Tri-State area from March - May and home games are played in Glen Head or Eisenhower Park, East Meadow.
